The Monro Family would like to welcome you to The Hotel Avra!

Andy and Sarah-Jane left England 20 years ago to see the world! Corfu was as far as they got! Something about the island got under their skin and so here they still are.

Both Andy and S.J. had been to catering college and held various positions in both Hotels and restaurants and since arriving in Corfu had been looking for the ideal “project” to put all their experience and ideas into action, when they were given the chance to take the Hotel Avra. In the meantime Andy then trained to be a Scuba-diving instructor and then worked with a diving school for 11 years [very handy for those of you wishing to find the best snorkelling spots!] he then left there and went to work for a sailing company.

Sarah-Jane in the meantime worked for a Tourist company for the first few years, so getting to know all about what people want most from their holidays and then on to a car rental company and in doing so learning all about where the best spots were to go to!

In the meantime they were blessed with a son Jamie who is currently 10 years old and is very eager to welcome new friends of any nationality! This of course also means that should you be bringing the children with you and we have any bad weather, we have a selection of toys /DVDs to help keep them amused!

Unfortunately due to the “credit crunch” we have not been able to utilise all our ideas yet, but for now we hope that with our love for the island of Corfu and a warm family welcome and relaxed atmosphere we can help make your trip here an enjoyable and memorable one!
